Whale Shark, Osmena Peak & Sardines and Turtle Snorkeling
Behold the majestic Whale Sharks of Oslob, Cebu. These magnificent creatures are known as the largest fish in the world. They can grow as much as 40 feet long which is the size of a school bus. How intimidating can that be? Though one might consider it dangerous, they are filter feeders which means their mouth acts like a vacuum to feed on planktons, krills, jellyfish and crab larvae. No need to worry about getting sucked up and getting spit on an unknown island! Meet and greet the gentle Whale Sharks of Oslob, Cebu!
Been under the sea and through the canyons, it is now time for an aerial view as you climb to the top of Osmeña Peak at Badian, Cebu. Breathtaking view from 1,013 meters awaits you on this sweet 15-20 minute hike. Enjoy a 360-degree view from the top of one of Cebu’s highest mountains. Feel the cold breeze of the wind and gaze upon the horizon as you embrace the soothing sun rays. Be one with nature and know that you are finally standing at the top!
Sardines are famously found on tin cans here in the Philippines but this time you will see them face to face at the protected sanctuary of Moalboal, Cebu. The coral reefs here signifies the abundance of its marine life and healthy Sea Turtles. This famous diving spot is within the Tañon Strait, the deepest strait in the Philippines, with a depth of 500 meters. The famous activity here is to simply snorkel, take underwater shots and observe the marine ecosystem and the tons of sardines. You might find Nemo and Dory as well!
