Whale Shark, Sumilon Sandbar, Oslob Heritage Park & Osmena Peak
Behold the majestic Whale Sharks of Oslob, Cebu. These magnificent creatures are known as the largest fish in the world. They can grow as much as 40 feet long which is the size of a school bus. How intimidating can that be? Though one might consider it dangerous, they are filter feeders which means their mouth acts like a vacuum to feed on planktons, krills, jellyfish and crab larvae. No need to worry about getting sucked up and getting spit on an unknown island! Meet and greet the gentle Whale Sharks of Oslob, Cebu!
Hop on Sumilon island with a renowned sandbar and marine sanctuary you can visit while snorkeling. This sandbar is popular for tourists who bathe under the sun and chill at the beach. Get your sunscreen lotions ready or get tanned by the sea and sun!
Oslob Heritage Park, a place to chill while grabbing a smoothie and snacks. Hear the waves crash by the bay and see the distant province of Siquijor. Oslob Cuartel, Cuartel Ruins, was built during the 1860s during the Spanish colonization. This edifice was constructed using thick coral stones that still stand today despite the past earthquakes and super typhoons. Be part of history, for this is a heritage for you and me!
Been under the sea and through the canyons, it is now time for an aerial view as you climb to the top of Osmeña Peak at Badian, Cebu. Breathtaking view from 1,013 meters awaits you on this sweet 15-20 minute hike. Enjoy a 360-degree view from the top of one of Cebu’s highest mountains. Feel the cold breeze of the wind and gaze upon the horizon as you embrace the soothing sun rays. Be one with nature and know that you are finally standing at the top!
